What is the finite element method?
The Finite-Element-Method (FEM) is a calculation method used in engineering, which shows important optimization potentials and can prove improvements through its application in product development.
Component properties (e.g. strength, acoustics, dynamics) can be investigated and analyzed to a large extent before production.
The collision observations are made via motion sequences and subsequently empirically tested.
To perform the FEM calculation, 3D data of the component, load definitions (where do which forces occur?) and a stress-strain curve of the material are required.
