Early feasibility analyses provide planning reliability: Among other things, we evaluate the ideal injection point for your injection molding tools, optimize wall thicknesses and tolerances, and thus ensure a robust design that is suitable for plastics, tools, and manufacturing—including demolding and tool design.

To achieve this, we combine component analysis, component optimization, technical design, simulation, FEM, materials science, and manufacturing expertise into a holistic development process.

We were faced with the task of replacing our existing interchangeable mold tool. There were recurring problems with premature wear of the guide columns and the clamping of the mold inserts using wedges. The Hein design office offered a solution based on the IsoForm principle. After the mold was built and tested for several weeks, many advantages became apparent, e.g., consistent centering, compensation for thermal expansion via a flat guide, and quick mold insert changes. The temperatures between the mold insert and the insulated mold frame are now 130°C and approx. 45°C-50°C, respectively. This means that it is no longer necessary to temperature control the mold frame plates and encase the tool with heat protection plates. The collaboration with the Hein design office was absolutely problem-free, and we hope that the IsoForm principle will become more widespread!
The Hein Technology Day has been around for a quarter of a century now!
